To bring worlds together, I am now going to write all my post worthy responses from comments that may come to me from any platform i’m involved, here on Sub|Stack because:
I find it more interesting here right now.
This helps me keep things a bit more organized.
I am liking the tools.
Making a personal website seems a bit much for me at this time.
I am just passing through as I have always been.
The following comes from “Blurt” Blockchain daughter of steemit and sister to Hive.blog. All three have their very unique set of rules, etiquette, unique landing pages, inner communities, and environment. Same things. It's own market coin based on proof of stake protocols. All three claim to have censorship resistant platforms and claims support on free speech.
An account there is also your very own bank and wallet apart from managing other tools. In hive there are growing gaming community that surpasses all three chains. And all you need is hive account and hive to play and earn hive tokens for playing, trading, sharing your accomplishments with unique personal texts to add to your publication, etc.
Supposedly, you make the quality content, you curate other content, you create apps, games, web design, the possibilites are endless, maybe. you add value to the coin in that manner. I did leave out a few other ways for sure but you get the idea. You supply and if there is a demand for your content people will vote your content and you will earn.
I'm not by any chance trying to sell you the blurt coin. I'm not saying invest into anything either. This is not financial advice.
Some of you may already be familiar with the issues on the former claims hence why there was blurt and hive forking out into their own chains, because of large community disagreements and takeovers, lust for power, clout, money, etc. The stinc, ninja mined stake, the Justin Sun invasion, the steemit wars, and more, these terms are known to the veterans, the pioneers of these chains and it forms in great part a history for all three chains, that should never be forgotten.
To be honest it's pretty wild stuff going on behind the scenes. Suspicion of CIA involvement, satanic oligarchy control, shadow banning content they don't approve of, specifically by the hands of large stake holders. But not just any content. But content that goes against the official tell|lie|fish-ion narratives. Free thinkers, independent news outlets, popular UHM, what you kids call them now? Influencers, right.
So, when you first enter hive or any of these chains, you think on the surface everything is somewhat in order. A little too much in order. If you got the eyes to see it.
What, what is this. Down voted(DV) content rewards will redirect to trending posts. So the hive watchers police come in and DV plagiarism, and other malicious content that may “damage the community”.
The hive watchers are ran by the largest stake holders there. The bigger your stake the more “influence” your vote has. It's a power grab. Buy your way to power. But it will be too late because, they won't allow it. You see they will make sure your content gets DV if they deem it to be you making “too much”. Claim it wasn't enough quality to their eyes. But they political moves with their power. You see they run also who gets to be on trending. And they vote the hardest. So heavy their vote weight is, it drags others rewards to them, even author rewards. Like bowling balls on a trampoline with a bunch of other smaller sized balls.
So I was also thinking, there are some very curious minds here in substance with a thirst to deep seek some things that I don't have much time for anymore. So think of it as lighting a few more torches here. To grab some curious folk to turn over every rock and pebble for the culprits because there is plenty of vermin still about and in high places.
Maybe recommended to subscribe agent131711, whome disabled mentions, would deep dive into this?
The following username practicalthought is a man who I have enjoyed reading his deep thoughts on all subjects matters relating to what I just mentioned above. I consider him to be a sound person, collected, sane, open minded, and good heart that is rare to find these days in person.
I wrote a summary piece and expressed some thoughts on these matters, but more so related to blurt in specific. You may see terms unique to that environment so no worries about understanding them. You would not need to do that to read through this post.
What is written in orange quotes is what “practicalthought” has written himself.
Here is the original post of origin where this comment comes from.

It's taken me a while to respond but I finally got it. I have quite a few others to respond to still. Lagging behind…
It's so good to read you here again.
Thank you. It's good to hear from you again as well. It's been a out 5 to 7 months since I last posted in blurt, but I did check in a few times from then to now.
I wanted to address your thoughts on the founders. I won't argue about it as I used to with Lucy though, these are my mix of objective and subjective thoughts.
Rightly so there are many things overlapping between subjectively and objectively.
I won't be surprised if I am completely wrong about a couple things. But as for the co-founders I doubt one of them cares deeply about the community except inside the realms of that it makes him money, I think you know which one of the two I'm talking about. Not to trash anyone's character, people do that to themselves just fine without any effort. I'm only interested in pointing out what has happened, finding out any more tidbits of history that relates to what I am pointing out, honest opinions and speculations, etc. I am wondering what the psychology of the community of these chains if they will see what I see to some degree and why aren't they angry about it.
Current management is a joke as you well seen yourself. No serious advancements have been made and this is also do to lack of engineering support that Hive on the other hand is thriving on from the beginning, etc. I'm no techy what do I know. I'm just a blue collar worker. I see results and how things behave, I reverse engineer shit. I see people and their behaviors, I see past masks but some escape me still. I like to read. I like to travel. This task will be my last task for blurt. They can take it as is and do what they please because,
“I got better things to do with my time! I don't care anymore!” -Phill Collins
Lay it on me.
As you know, the co-founders are Jacob and Megadrive.
My take is when they saw what was going on in Steem, they decided to fork and improve by taking away the downvote stake nullification that allows a handful of whales to dictate who gets paid and who doesn't.
Yup!
It was a double edge sword of a move, in one side it does what you said but now the chain has a high spam of low quality content, plagiarism, ai content, bid bots, etc and people are farming dry the reserves in this fashion but more so those from the foundation are doing the worse of it. They are openly supporting such content and creators and even some witnesses themselves are plagiarizing and being voted on by BP curated by accounts that has unfairly attained their BP through Code “magic”. Not to speak I'll, but I consider these facts of the matter and all one needs is to peak into the beginning of it all. And read thoroughly the movements and promises of the foundation.
I see it no difference in fairness as when stinc made their move to mine Steem before anyone else aka the ninja mine stake. It's very similar, imo and the blurt community seems to not care when told about it because there is a deafening silence about it.
What could they do after the fact?
I have a few ideas but first it needs to be properly addressed so to remove any doubt about what happened and lay it down for the community to see for themselves.
This I plan on doing on my own but I am not in any rush to do it either, but any info anyone can muster to bring up helps. Just lay down links, dear blurtian reader, in this post. write your own perspectives, etc but feel free to include it here in the comments to keep all info together. This will help me add uniqueness to the post and include all involved.
I watched when at Steem then Hive Bernie destroy many accounts of those in my circles.
I think,
might know more about him than I and has been more active on those platforms than I ever been.I was going to through a lot of legal battles when I lived in the USA. So missed out on a few key elements of early steemit history. I had to read about it later on.. A lot. Much of what I said is from my still functioning memory banks of my brain and some have been posted with evidence to what I have said such as Megadrive stealing from the community. The only main issue I want to address. In due time of course.
Not possible here.
Because of this jump, these two inexperienced creators of Blurt were immersed in, it created several handicaps. I have no doubt they were both in a place of uncertainty when they created this.
Agreed.
Jacob was involved with the whaleshares which predated us, and look at it now as it's basically done.
I'm not sure what else entirely what Jacob has really done for blurt apart from his monetary investment and “jump starting” the chain, oh and stopping megadrive from freezing 4 accounts, 3 of whome are currently the biggest active investors there. and 1 penguin who triggered an leftist idiot manchild, good times. good times. But he saved blurt for now. And since then Megadrive has muted any who was in opposition and pointed out his childish behaviour and rarely now makes an appearance. Very diplomatic persona too. Never trusted political diplomats especially not one who personally used the image of blurt and to fund killer drones for Ukraine.
Killer drones sponsored by BLURT coming to Ukrainian against Russian soldiers near you. But guess who is going to handle those? NATO most likely, or maybe they did get them at the end, and it was used somewhere else. Towards Israel. Nah… I'm going too far. The funding stopped short but I am not sure what may have been done off the chain.
Trumps supposed second assassin creed shooter would have loved Megadrive’s support for the Ukraine war.
He can go fuck himself though.
I see a miracle that Blurt is still alive given their inexperience/ignorance which resulted in the largest handicap, and no major exchange listings.
I remember it was said by a few witnesses that it would collapse when it reached a critical low price point where witnesses couldn't afford to run the servers anymore. If I remember correctly, it is already there or very close to that price. We could ask each witness what their personal limit is individually if that matters at all.
They certainly need more engineers, and better marketing campaign than an deformed AI girl holding a phallic symbol and a narcissistic smile looking straight at your eyes and not the product.
The product of course being the coin itself. As you can tell from the bid bots, the low quality content being made popular by blurtbooster giving curation shots to ai content creators, above those who write original content, etc. You know how it goes. It doesn't make the product look good at all.
Part of what they did in their inexperience was to create what you refer to as double printing.
And since that point, the price spiked a trend downward to what it is now. .001-.002usdcents. but that isn't the only factor happening around the same time. The lack of token usage in real world commodities and such is one prime example apart from being listed as you said.
Ionomy as you know is dead and probit (not available for everyone to use) is the only one still exchanging blurt for BTC as far as I know apart from hive engine as swap.blurt, I haven't checked.
Freshly into the Justin Sun hostile takeover at Steem, this was the only way they saw that something like that wouldn't be possible.
Which was the foundations(Mega) excuse to make coded blurt power to maintain blurt under their own control “for the best interest of blurt” “for blurt’s security”, that any other person or group will try a hostile takeover as Sun once did, they would be prepared. And they included also in the promise to protect blurt and it's community from invasion they would never curate with those accounts. And they did. Ninja mined stake all over again. Couldn't help themselves. Power does corrupt.
Now imagine if they went against the entire vote weight of the community just to stay in power? Who's to stop them, they can code more blurt power and keep witness indefinitely. And the blurtians, I bet, will still keep doing what they do now. Unchanged by what happens.
They will rabble for a while, they will cause waves in blurt prices, and it won't look so good for the foundation. But what do they really care? Do they? How can they sleep being under the payroll of megathief? And the amount of sycophantry in the discord was nauseating to see.
Dogs on a leash. Glad I am not involved anymore in that CCP chat app.
Is Jacob aware of everything? Or why the blind eye?
It's first come first served and best serve yourself the entire pie and give out wee bits to the community and be thankful you get that much. Not mention the pie copy machine which feeds off from the original, sucking it dry, aging it to bitter taste. The rest are no good it's just bad copies. Maybe that's a bad analogy…
I know some took great umbrage with some of the folks who were on the payroll from this double printing. I agree with some of that and not so many others who I feel played a huge role in us not sinking like whaleshares.
Blurt smells weird. Something fishy is going on.
My apologies, I digress.
Don't apologize. I've enjoyed writing this entire post.
Jacob has visions of bigger things. His primary goal was never to get rich, and to date, he has never sold any of his Blurt. He was paying for a long time for all of the hosting out of his own pocket.
His motives are unknown to me. He has done good… but I remain skeptical.
He left us early on to begin programming on Cosmos, which has taken 99.9% of his time. He entrusted megadrive to keep the car on track.
Why Megadrive of all people? Are they related? Or just met each other by chance with common goals? How romantic.
He also has been claimed upon to have stolen from some steemit community, which one was it?… I already dragged
in this, do you remember any crucial details of that?We know the mistakes that were made, but I submit that it was resolved (for most) as none of the actions that were quite questionable as a reaction were implemented.
Most folks have a reactionary script, so I can forgive when I see that playbook stopped, as we saw once counsel from the absent Jacob entered the fray.
Yup
Sadly it involved lucy,
The penguin i mentioned earlier dear reader.
https://blurtlatam.intinte.org/@lucylin
He's worth the read to understand more of what has happened all the way back to steemit. A key character.
whom I personally convinced to come here. Part of his charm is he's like that action hero (or villain take your pick). Where most would just let it go, much like the action hero/villain, he will go to the furthest reaches possible, willing to endure any form of hardship to correct what was wrong.
I'm guessing most would be unable to take his non stop attention, hah hah. A huge part of his charm really, not needing to be accepted by the crowd and sticking to his intent.
Back to the story as I digress again.
The low valuation of Blurt comes down to a few things.
No one understands the idea of being their own banker.
No one understands the power of building real social connections, building real communities. I'll use us as an example. Your edification on my latest post, coupled with my excitement to see the notification you commented to me is a real online community. No focus on an extraction from the garden, as most are doing here. I read you even after I left for a year or so, specifically coming without logging in to read you and lucy and several others. That is the awesome sauce that will create value here.
Our value is unappreciated. It's ai content, cooking shows, cat making pies, bid bots or bust. There is lack in voting etiquette for sure. It takes effort to vote responsibly, check through content, see if they are dumping the coin, are they worth voting for, according to one's own value, etc etc. quality content is in the eye of the beholder. And it's not about recognized general quality value that promote growth. Hive has that more than blurt despite the quite ruling digital feudalism they endeavor on.
I've been to Hive and Steem poking around some lately without logging in. I forgot how many I had a community with, and many are still there as well as many not.
Lastly, the fact is that because so many are trying to eat from the garden of Blurt without cultivating it, they are causing the soil to lose the needed nutrients to harvest abundant crops here.
Then you see what I see. Namaste
Are you interested Sub|Stack community? An open seat is available. If you want a free account, if I have the liquidity, just say so and it's yours with 20 liquid blurt to get you started on making your first post(there's a fee to do transactions, that why you get 20 blurt). I'll be happy to give it for free or ask someone from the foundations discord servers posted on their website, or pay for your own. Your choice.
It's like the initiative by Ctime to burn rewards. It has zero impact today on the value of Blurt. There is simply too much for sale, way way more than demand. That equation is the only one that will make the value rise. And we can't blame this on what has been called double printing.
Why not though?
It is caused by the desire to sell greatly outweighing the desire to buy.
Is it though?
Yes of course it is. What's so attractive about a token with no inner advancements?
Well, its not so much the coin either but the technology behind it. There so much untapped potential.
It's essentially BTC chain tech but without the need for massive servers to run it. It runs on very low energy. A raspberry pi is all anyone needs basically. And the proof of stake can be made to be proof of work with proof of brain protocols even. So maybe it is worth the investment, IF they quit driving it to the ground as they are now. But will they stop? Or is there a wide investors with the know how's to run it without being tyrants about it and step up to the plate?
Again not a technician of any sort for programming things. If your electronics fries then I can help you. Broken floor boards? Not a problem. Roof leak? Got it. Paint job? Sure thing. Plumbing? You get the idea. I can do many a thing. Not code. Nope. I have neither the Capital nor the coding skills required to take on such an endeavor. But you maybe have my full vote if your worth it.
Randome thought: Everyone's an influencer in their own light.
When folks like the whales bought in, it could only be a temporary rise in value. The only way it could have remained at that is if that temporary demand by the whales was an ongoing dynamic. Which it couldn't it was an anomaly.
The smaller fish will have to desire Blurt more. Enough to hold it, enough to buy more.
Well, I won't power down anymore. I'll keep the 25% to do as I please though. But I'm just small fish. Lol. I just got a big mouth from time to time.
Or, innovative measures that can entice newcomers who are more comfortable with Web 2 token.
You mention attention like this serving as a funnel for your substack. I submit even that will produce small to zero returns in our current state where most aren't even reading anything here, just voting and mostly posting boring non readable crap to faucet some Blurt to sell.
Ah but maybe posting on sub|stack and sharing on blurt will attract some new writers to blurt, have or steemit? Vice versa. Who knows. Combination is good if it is anything of the sort…
Until folks begin caring and treating this place with respect instead of an extract until it dies mindset, the price will reflect the care given, which is shit.
So glad you came back.
I want things to change for blurt. I have nothing against the community. Just issues with those currently at the top. For now they have the faith of the community.
Thank you for inspiring this post. I hope to have more like it and get to the bottom of what to do next.
Cheers everyone. It's late and I haven't had coffee.
